waiting for the meal

Lucy and Audrey worked on these bunnies with modge podge, magazine strips and these cute bunnies we found at Target for an essential Easter buying trip :)

determining size of slices, haha

It was a really simple and beautiful Easter Sunday.

We had small sacrament service at home and then shared our thoughts about the atonement.
These quiet,  in home sacrament gatherings have been meaningful.
The children have felt safe and comfortable sharing thoughts.
For some of them they are just participating in a "sit n' git" at church which doesn't go far with teenagers.
Chester told us lately his "spiritual life" was growing, he said:
"I shared my testimony and then shared that it was the first time I ever really listened to the sacrament prayer, wow".
We are going to ask that Henry be ordained a priest at home which in light of his church life here, would be for the best anyway.
Who knows when we will meet together as congregations?
...in the meantime,
this has been the biggest blessing to us personally to meet at home.

I needed the reprieve.
I needed the peace of teaching our children instead of feeling like everyone else was teaching them at church :)
In my opinion,  Easter was perfect.

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! đź’—Ready to gođź’— Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoo...

Sports Mom Era

I think I saw this coming but maybe I didn't really see this coming:) I am a sports mom. Plain and simple. I had other hats too like library mom, classroom aid mom, costumes for musicals mom, outdoorsy hiking mom, musical mom, jazz band mom, tech crew mom, art mom, spring break mom, etc etc etc But sports mom has been a pretty big theme in my life:) So, in honor of my Dad's birthday today and his absolute love of sports, I share this to save the memoires.  Because one day, it will be just that, sweet and crazy sports mom era memories:) Okay, so I love JV games because the weather at 4pm in the Bay Area and even coast side was amazing last year.
