Snapshot of April

April in Golden Gate Park is pretty perfect!
I've been wishing to write my blog more but to be honest...what do I say?
haha
My kids are growing and changing...
(do I exist to them?)
we aren't building the house yet...
(can that please happen soon God?)
there is a lot of waiting...
a lot of holding on around here:)
so here are some details of life around here
Still life above my sink
Audrey decided to make a "conference cake"
and it was to die for.
some unusual April warm weather
felt like a socal day
I mean, I wore shorts.
 That's saying something!
We have a future athletic event face painter
Teachers versus 8th grade bball game :)
*took several soaked cottonballs of make up remover to remove
haha
Our Easter table
unfortunately, the daffodils died before Easter Sunday arrived
Spring Break was spent doing local things with these 3!
Gardens, Japantown, Golden Gate Park, long walks,
I made them read, and we ate out almost everyday!
(the last one was my idea haha)
they also went to their fist concert at the Warfield
I love their friendship:)
(one of those long walks I mentioned)
here: the tee shirt he has to hide from friends
haha
I hand painted some wooden eggs for Easter and pretty pleased with myself:)
I've been meeting Clay for drinks after work when he's in town!
And when I say drinks I mean 2 large Dr. Peppers at the Taco Bell Cantina
 on the beach :)
And here is a Lucy update.
Five months in and she declared how much she loves being a missionary!
Here she is reuniting with Sister Shoell, her mtc comp at a Zone Conference :)
(behind them is the Lisbon Temple!)
So so happy  with Sister Robinson!

Last but not least....Half Moon Bay High School Prom at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
We literally opened the car door and Henry leapt out.
Here is one of 3 pictures.
Where he is not pictured.
hahaha
Things are afoot at the circle k for him :)
(name that movie!)
And so this is our April.
It's been good.
We are just living our life and I am trying to breathe instead of holding my breath all the time.
Onward to May craziness and graduation and moving parts that will hopefully all come together!
Tchau Tchau as Lucy says :)

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! 💗Ready to go💗 Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried upon her arrival💗 Cougar for life! It

London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoon  i

We Are Officially Building That House!

And....we're off! First concrete pour was a success Along with a crew involving other people outside  of our humble brigade! This is the garage floor which really should be called  Clay's shop floor haha let's be honest here :) the mastermind at hand :) ten years ago we took this photo upon our move into the Milkbarn, the home that changed me, changed all of us really. What an era that was for us! I mentioned to Clay as we build our home here on the coast,  my heart will finally mend from leaving Boulder. We are much older(sigh),  much wiser(that's good!),  and even more patient(almost killed us and we wanted to quit too many times to count). But here we are.  The immense joy we get when we work together creatively is really something else. It's taken us forever. The pieces are fitting together. God definitely took his time with us. And now...we're back :) (p.s. most of what we'll do will be in my stories section on my instagram @jenniferjoycolli
