1 5 !

It was a big day last Monday!
She got her drivers permit!
After an hour and half (that is fast for a dmv!) we headed out to the church parking lot and I put her behind the wheel.
She did pretty good getting used to the break and making turns
 (kind of, haha)

She requested the pink lemonade cake I made for her
 back in 4th grade.
That is the 1st year we lived here.
I found myself a little sad today thinking about all the time that has gone by.
In ways I feel robbed!
I'm thinking most parents feel this way experiencing these
milestones in life.

We all headed out to a Vietnamese restaurant for noodle bowls!
 She loved it.
She wants to travel to Vietnam, Laos and Thailand
just to eat the food :)
I told her I'd go with her

She suggested we do some family bowling together

At home we sang and wished her a wonderful 15th year.
I really am humbled to have a daughter like Lucy. She is developing into a delightful young woman. She is thinking of being an architect, eating food all over the world, living in a city that is not hot (smart). She still enjoys reading but is now helping us with design ideas. Her testimony is tender and expanding, when someone cries, she cries (sorry, that's what I do!)and she can see that people need to be loved through their journey in life versus judged. I am so proud she is ours.
We love you firstborn 💗 happy birthday

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! 💗Ready to go💗 Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried upon her arrival💗 Cougar for life! It

London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoon  i

We Are Officially Building That House!

And....we're off! First concrete pour was a success Along with a crew involving other people outside  of our humble brigade! This is the garage floor which really should be called  Clay's shop floor haha let's be honest here :) the mastermind at hand :) ten years ago we took this photo upon our move into the Milkbarn, the home that changed me, changed all of us really. What an era that was for us! I mentioned to Clay as we build our home here on the coast,  my heart will finally mend from leaving Boulder. We are much older(sigh),  much wiser(that's good!),  and even more patient(almost killed us and we wanted to quit too many times to count). But here we are.  The immense joy we get when we work together creatively is really something else. It's taken us forever. The pieces are fitting together. God definitely took his time with us. And now...we're back :) (p.s. most of what we'll do will be in my stories section on my instagram @jenniferjoycolli
