LalaLand with the Baby Adults

A quick trip to LA with my "baby adults" :)

A Beautiful oak tree framing our path on a little walk after dinner
more wildflowers
but before we got THE BEST red tacos in Sylmar, we spent the day at The Getty.
Here they are on the tram...one supporting the photo, one not hahaha
There was a cool fashion photography exhibit aptly titled:
 Wonderful Things

lunch on the green and who knew the Getty Cafe
would carry $3 pb&j sandwiches!
I felt lucky to be just with these 2:)
They have a special bond.
They just understand one another!

The gardens were in full bloom :)

Turns out this was the one sunny day we got!
And of course, it's not an official museum visit if we are not twinning with art:)
The next day I dropped them off for a not so bright but early for a day at Universal!
The Weasley's? Are they twins?
I love them.
They rode Jurassic 5 times!
While the kids spent the day at Universal...I had a great time with Marcie and Marty doing Hollywood things!
Here we are holding an Emmy at Paramount Studios...the tour guide was like, this picture is so dumb it's good:)
These 2 are the best to spend time with.

I sized up these costumes...Hollywood is really small!
We kept saying...Mom would love this!

This may look like just a green but this is where the scene of the secret trampoline episode of Community was shot!
So LA....curious why so many people are scientologists?
We boarded a questionable Hollywood tour.

I can't tell you how bad it was...you just had to be there. From getting windblown, to seeing one of Rihanna's homes, then driving next to a brick wall in an alley and being told that Jimmy Kimmel's show is behind said brick wall....all done in a monotone dead panned voice.
"This is Michael Jackson's last home before he died. He died there."
But we laughed and laughed and made a life memory we will never forget:)
I did take one picture of Whitney Houston's first home.
It was charming.
The next day we hung out in Burbank with a stop at Donut Hut:)

Vintage shopped at Playclothes on Magnolia
You could find everything there!
We thought Audrey might like to prom dress shop here next year!

I miss seeing Jacarandas:)
There were smears of it on streets from cars running over the petals and tracking them.

Plant shop down the road but not pictured was the most perfect Halloween shop open year round! I bought some adorable figurines and a fish skeleton :0
I only documented this stop on the way home:)
Pismo and cinnamon rolls for the win!

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! 💗Ready to go💗 Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried upon her arrival💗 Cougar for life! It

London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoon  i

We Are Officially Building That House!

And....we're off! First concrete pour was a success Along with a crew involving other people outside  of our humble brigade! This is the garage floor which really should be called  Clay's shop floor haha let's be honest here :) the mastermind at hand :) ten years ago we took this photo upon our move into the Milkbarn, the home that changed me, changed all of us really. What an era that was for us! I mentioned to Clay as we build our home here on the coast,  my heart will finally mend from leaving Boulder. We are much older(sigh),  much wiser(that's good!),  and even more patient(almost killed us and we wanted to quit too many times to count). But here we are.  The immense joy we get when we work together creatively is really something else. It's taken us forever. The pieces are fitting together. God definitely took his time with us. And now...we're back :) (p.s. most of what we'll do will be in my stories section on my instagram @jenniferjoycolli
