A Magical Day to Skip Some School

I had promised Audrey when we moved back to California, I would take her to Universal Studios to experience the  Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  And so we did! She took it all in, a complete sensory experience...after having troubles with school friends and being hurt by friends... this was the perfect day. The perfect day to escape and live in a world she has read about so much! I think in the end she would be happier going to Hogwarts versus Sierra Vista Jr. High :) the shop windows and shops were all so adorable and full of details! Of course, Honeydukes was our favorite she chose a wand and used it throughout the park on spells in the windows or roof tops! the Three Broomsticks for lunch was delicious!  Every detail is well thought out here for sure. We decided to explore the rest of the park which is all movies and hollywood and fun! gosh, I think this rekindled my love for the Simpsons! my favorit...

February 2019: Queen of Hearts

💘 February is a mix of triumph over January and the heart filled cooler days until March. It's like the happy bridge to spring. But I live in a place right now where winter kind of feels  like a Colorado spring.  We even got snow the other day here! Turning a Nike shoe box into a valentine collector Chester's homemade class valentines :) Audrey's socks given to her by her sunday school teachers! She is kind of the queen of February On Valentine's day Chester's class was invited to make lunch and decorate at the Santa Clarita Valley food services for both elementary school districts. It was a big honor, only one class out of the 4 districts it services was chosen by lottery....
