pumpkins and cereal killers

Our first October living as coast siders and I think it's official: we belong :)
We took the kids back to Arata's Farm...the pumpkin patch of their childhood...
only Lucy remembered it :)
Chester wasn't born here so he is still more Coloradan than Californian.
He gets a pass.
I love that Audrey likes to celebrate holidays :)
and step into corn fields haha
Every weekend we have a football game for Chester
It has been rewarding to watch him grow in his capabilities.
He looks so small out there though!
post game lunches if we are doing an away game
see?
even the liquor store a block away sells pumpkins here :)
Lucy got to meet some of her future sisters as they had to get their visa applications in for Portugal!
Sister Shoell on the right is her MTC companion too.
Henry's polaroid vest creation :)
haha...pumpkins on the roof tops at our high school. History has it what started out as a prank a few years ago is now a high school tradition :)

The only picture I got from our ward Trunk or Treat Party!
Audrey ran the whole party and Henry had it organized but had to go to work.
I didn't help out at all!
I was quietly proud that they could do this on their own :)
carving away!
Audrey's cute pumpkin house :)

And here's that "cereal killer" I mentioned in my title:)
Lucy helped him come up with his idea...he was thrilled.
Happy 2021 Halloween!
By pandemic standards...it was pretty normal.
Can I say that now?

Sports Mom Era

I think I saw this coming but maybe I didn't really see this coming:) I am a sports mom. Plain and simple. I had other hats too like library mom, classroom aid mom, costumes for musicals mom, outdoorsy hiking mom, musical mom, jazz band mom, tech crew mom, art mom, spring break mom, etc etc etc But sports mom has been a pretty big theme in my life:) So, in honor of my Dad's birthday today and his absolute love of sports, I share this to save the memoires.  Because one day, it will be just that, sweet and crazy sports mom era memories:) Okay, so I love JV games because the weather at 4pm in the Bay Area and even coast side was amazing last year. Tee shirt and jeans? February 2019: Queen of Hearts

💘 February is a mix of triumph over January and the heart filled cooler days until March. It's like the happy bridge to spring. But I live in a place right now where winter kind of feels  like a Colorado spring.  We even got snow the other day here! Turning a Nike shoe box into a valentine collector Chester's homemade class valentines :) Audrey's socks given to her by her sunday school teachers! She is kind of the queen of February On Valentine's day Chester's class was invited to make lunch and decorate at the Santa Clarita Valley food services for both elementary school districts. It was a big honor, only one class out of the 4 districts it services was chosen by lottery....
