First off, getting ready to celebrate Chester on his 10th birthday!

He requested brownie sundaes :)






This is the year he gets a birthday party with friends, he couldn't wait. 
We did a pool party with In N' Out Burgers and minute to win it games!
The boys had a blast.









On the same day as his party, Lucy did a retake of the ACT. 
We wore these tee shirts for good luck...hope it paid off!

it was the Sunday of our Primary Sacrament Presentation :) 
We did a popcorn party for how fantastic the kids all did!

Football Season!

Chester has asked to play tackle and Clay and I agreed he 
could play in 7th grade.
 The time commitment is big.
The price is big.
And I'd like him to be big(ger) :)

Well known fact...I am a cleaner and will clean everything but bathrooms.
 Nope, hate those :)

5th graders still like to be with their mom's at night :)

8th graders being lethargic and maybe growing and maybe being emotionally exhausted from school!
(but she aced her math test...105/100-she is in a high school algebra class!)


No school for Chet so we went to Magic Mountain :)

And for the last few days I have been tracking the weather for our
 family fall vacation...looks like winter/ fall weather ...
crossing our fingers the forecast looks better. 
It has been 4 years since our last "real" vacation.
 Meaning, getting on a plane (all 6 of us!)
 Clay NOT working on the phone every time we turn around
and being in nature.

I just read this was based on a Japanese practice.
 I think with our family just going in all directions, it will feel good to be on the same path for a week :) 


We all cannot wait!

Audrey's off! Santo Domingo East Mission

Here she is.  On a split.  In the campo(country)! Dominican Republic Time hop to May when she received her tags :) Her paper giving her permission to proselyte! Pre-mission things to do were: picture with flag at temple ✓ hikes in the sun✓ being set apart as a missionary in our home✓ home mtc p-day shenanigans✓ last taco bell supper :) ✓ hugs that need to last 18 months✓ Her first MTC phone call home. She had too much fun there but why not? This missionary mom will send you one package to the mtc... and that's it :) Upon arrival, she met her mission presidents!  Presidente y Hermana Chaverri Meeting her trainer in the field:) And after a mini transfer, meeting her new trainer! Sports Mom Era

I think I saw this coming but maybe I didn't really see this coming:) I am a sports mom. Plain and simple. I had other hats too like library mom, classroom aid mom, costumes for musicals mom, outdoorsy hiking mom, musical mom, jazz band mom, tech crew mom, art mom, spring break mom, etc etc etc But sports mom has been a pretty big theme in my life:) So, in honor of my Dad's birthday today and his absolute love of sports, I share this to save the memoires.  Because one day, it will be just that, sweet and crazy sports mom era memories:) Okay, so I love JV games because the weather at 4pm in the Bay Area and even coast side was amazing last year. February 2019: Queen of Hearts

                                                                            💘 February is a mix of triumph over January and the heart filled cooler days until March. It's like the happy bridge to spring. But I live in a place right now where winter kind of feels  like a Colorado spring.  We even got snow the other day here! Turning a Nike shoe box into a valentine collector Chester's homemade class valentines :) Audrey's socks given to her by her sunday school teachers! She is kind of the queen of February On Valentine's day Chester's class was invited to make lunch and decorate at the Santa Clarita Valley food services for both elementary school districts. It was a big honor, only one class out of the 4 districts it services was chosen by lottery....
