easter 2019

E A S T E R ! 💛  Because He is risen we can rise above.  Rise above broken hearts, broken dreams, broken relationships, broken bodies, broken minds and even death.  Easter gives me hope for all things to work out through Jesus Christ 💛 all the flowers are blooming in our backyard :) our beautiful daughter I keep saying things like, you have one more easter with us... well, maybe, depends if she goes to school in CA really but senior year will be here in a blink of an eye my easter mantle...slightly crooked :) Easter Dinner: tri tip, salad, steamed asparagus, pineapple easter season also means full swing flag football and warm evenings for girls in the same outfits yay for a fun dinner out! It seems more and more as the kids get taller we seem to stick out everywhere we go! Even when we go downtown LA. haha. Heights: Lucy(16): 6'3" Henry(14):6" Audrey(13): 5'6"

P & Q

Proms and Quincenearas! I finally got to make a prom dress! Lucy was asked to Mormon Prom LA by a boy in another ward 2 weeks before...so, we found a pattern she liked, went down to the garment district in DTLA and found a great fabric to use! It took much longer than expected with all the pattern changes due to length, obviously! but she is like a hanger,  everything just falls so gracefully on her,  she looked ready for the oscars really! photos in the backyard :) the peplum makes the dress, it was glitter head to toe as well Her cute date Ethan Dad lurking in the background...we actually just left them early. They do this whole red carpet walk down to the buses that take them to the venue but I think sometimes it is best to just leave teenagers alone and let them have their own moments.  Plus, they didn't care, haha, so good on them! she loves pink and it was perfect with her dress After we dropped Lucy off, Henry

Spring Breakers 2019

Spring Break! Clay took a monday off so we headed to the central coast ...and I'm ready to move up there at any point in my life, haha... stopped in Pismo Beach It has cleaned up since I have last been there.  We grabbed lunch at the Splash Cafe (with everyone else in town) Chester did his 4th grade mission report on the San Luis Obispo Mission. He told us everything he remembered. Of all the times I have been there, we have never gone in so it was special. As much as the mission was catching my eye...this school(probably private) took over my curiosity! The picture does not do it justice. All white troweled stucco, no molding, dark bronze windows...I told Clay, this was it.  Build this for me one day! haha 3 bells for 3 kids we sat in the church for awhile, read prayers and listened to choral music being rehearsed we left and headed down the main shopping area, went into a toy store and then all the puppet memories of childh
