Season's Greetings!

Season's Greetings from LA💙

We have unpacked and started our life here in
 Canyon Country, California.
It's north of LA but still LA county.
As the days go by and new  opportunities for our family arise, we are acclimating more and more to this new part of California.

Clay is very busy with work, still travels, still drinks dr. pepper, still feels better when he is home.
Jennifer is making our home a home, happy to be back in California, driving everywhere for everyone, still a beach and nature lover.
Both are wondering when they can find the time to be creative :)
Lucy is thriving here at Canyon High school with new friends, varsity basketball teammates who are her biggest supporters, and challenging herself academically. We still cannot believe she will be looking at colleges soon!
Henry is a freshman at Canyon and doing well in a new school. He is a classic teenager...mood swings and all except he actually likes going to early morning seminary. He made the freshman boys volleyball team for this spring. He also got a job at the snackbar during basketball season and learned to never eat the nacho sauce.
Audrey is in 7th grade at her current junior high. From what I can ascertain, she is a teacher favorite. She had a rough start here but has made some really good girlfriends and is my number one helper and baker still :)
Chester is in 4th grade and knows everyone already. Not surprising. He is involved in our local city cub scout pack, made a basketball team and flag football team.
He still yells, "I love you mom!" as he heads to his bus stop
each morning.

We ðŸ’™ LA!
come visit us anytime :)

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! 💗Ready to go💗 Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried upon her arrival💗 Cougar for life! It

London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoon  i

We Are Officially Building That House!

And....we're off! First concrete pour was a success Along with a crew involving other people outside  of our humble brigade! This is the garage floor which really should be called  Clay's shop floor haha let's be honest here :) the mastermind at hand :) ten years ago we took this photo upon our move into the Milkbarn, the home that changed me, changed all of us really. What an era that was for us! I mentioned to Clay as we build our home here on the coast,  my heart will finally mend from leaving Boulder. We are much older(sigh),  much wiser(that's good!),  and even more patient(almost killed us and we wanted to quit too many times to count). But here we are.  The immense joy we get when we work together creatively is really something else. It's taken us forever. The pieces are fitting together. God definitely took his time with us. And now...we're back :) (p.s. most of what we'll do will be in my stories section on my instagram @jenniferjoycolli
