The Land of What Ifs

Times Square, New York City 7:20 am My short story goes like this: When I was 28 I had begun a clothing line (finally!) and it had success, although small the signs were good. The clothing sold out in each store, it was commented that the fit was excellent which was my calling card...good fit and fabric. So, I worked on my business at night and had a job with a software company by day. I went to NYC for a fabric buying trip and came home resolved to move there. We had a new york office, I made a call. They said maybe they could make room for me there,  but this was "off the record"   Lucky Magazine(which might not be in print because I don't know these things anymore) came to my small shared apartment in sf to view my line after seeing it in a boutique.  This was it!    after I decided to move to new york... I met Clay we met in San Francisco he will tell anyone he left Alaska to find a woman :) So, when I go to New York, it

the roof, the chicken coop, and some pumpkins

The roof is done! the roof is done! the roof is done! Well, almost... When we decided on a roof it was for a couple of reasons 1. The insurance company did not cover our roof 2. the insurance company did not cover our roof Also, the roof maker did not make that shingle anymore so that is kind of a problem! We decided on a metal roof because we wanted it. We liked the way it looked and Clay wanted to learn how to install one. It has been a long process and each time he asks me to go up and help him, I do and I don't think I have ever been so cautious doing anything else around here. We need to build a well house for the well and put pavers here for a nice front patio type thing. Still need to paint. I have a lot to say about living in a fixer upper. Living with work at hand. Sometimes I think that is all we do. It might seem that way. I don't know in the end what kind of effect this will have on our family.Time will tell me that. I mean, right
