1 5 !

It was a big day last Monday! She got her drivers permit! After an hour and half (that is fast for a dmv!) we headed out to the church parking lot and I put her behind the wheel. She did pretty good getting used to the break and making turns  (kind of, haha) She requested the pink lemonade cake I made for her  back in 4th grade.  That is the 1st year we lived here.  I found myself a little sad today thinking about all the time that has gone by.  In ways I feel robbed!  I'm thinking most parents feel this way experiencing these  milestones in life. We all headed out to a Vietnamese restaurant for noodle bowls!  She loved it. She wants to travel to Vietnam, Laos and Thailand  just to eat the food :)  I told her I'd go with her She suggested we do some family bowling together At home we sang and wished her a wonderful 15th year. I really am humbled to have a daughter like Lucy. She is developing into a delightful young woman.

We have wonderful friends who took the kids in! I arrived at LAX,  Clay picked me up and immediately we headed up to Santa Monica! Perfect weather perfect food perfect shopping in the LA garment district fabric fabric fabric of course I stuffed as much as I could in our carry on bag home! perfect drinks! Santee Alley (tourist trap but still fun) Before we dated I overheard Clay talking about fabric shopping at Britex in San Francisco and I already knew he had a mustang in his garage.  I basically knew before I even "liked" him I would marry him. True story. We drove up to Santa Barbara where we breathed in as much salt air as possible Coming home I went right back to mom duties  and Clay flew out f
