Audrey's Birthday!

Audrey turned 11!

She was so happy and excited.
There is something about birthdays.
You wake up and feel special and you should!
We had a birthday week for her accidentally. Clay had a trip that was postponed and didn't find out until the cake was in the oven
(we were celebrating 2 days early to be with him).
So she had her pre-birthday, her real birthday and then a big party on Friday night with friends!

We have been making her these little heart cakes since she was 2 years old.
Always chocolate!

She got a gold ipod shuffle.
So now she is officially a tween :)

The morning of her real birthday. She wore her tiara to school. A boy asked why she was wearing it, she said "it's my  birthday!"

The entire cafeteria sang the happy birthday song to her and then I took her out to watch a movie, we were the only ones there!

Prepping for her party 2 days later

Waiting for friends!
the last time she had a big birthday party was in 1st grade
and she was so pumped to have her friends over.
Plus, so many of them are new friends I wanted to get to know these girls!

12 tween girls

we played lots of games, had food and they were so loud and hilarious!

The following week her Activity Day group had a cupcake war competition. She had it all planned out. Beach cupcakes and shark fin cupcakes.

The final judgement :)
She really likes to bake and I really don't.
So, this can be her thing!
Audrey is kind.
She speaks her mind.
Can hold her emotions in until they burst like a dam.
She is such a hard worker in school. She gives everything in math and little to geography :) she likes history too but not government. She loves art too and baking.
We only have 3 more months of elementary school for her and then she is off to middle school. Oh boy.
It's hard to believe time can move that fast.
She has a plan already for middle school!
7th grade math, the "wheel" and 4 sports Dad!
Volleyball, basketball, soccer and track and field.
She likes her friends at school and at church.
We love our turkey,
happy birthday
I am in love with watching you grow up and can't wait to see what Heavenly Father has in store for youđź’•

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! đź’—Ready to gođź’— Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoo...

Sports Mom Era

I think I saw this coming but maybe I didn't really see this coming:) I am a sports mom. Plain and simple. I had other hats too like library mom, classroom aid mom, costumes for musicals mom, outdoorsy hiking mom, musical mom, jazz band mom, tech crew mom, art mom, spring break mom, etc etc etc But sports mom has been a pretty big theme in my life:) So, in honor of my Dad's birthday today and his absolute love of sports, I share this to save the memoires.  Because one day, it will be just that, sweet and crazy sports mom era memories:) Okay, so I love JV games because the weather at 4pm in the Bay Area and even coast side was amazing last year. Tee shirt and jeans? Heavenly  Fall 2024 (he already looks different) Friday morning fits Becky Ruppel photography↑ In the middle of football season lies the beast of the high school basketball pancake breakfast.
