O Christmas Tree

The story of our Christmas tree. No one froze, no one forgot the hack saw and no one sang Deck the Halls( much to my chagrin), I love carols! We set out for the mountains to find the perfect Christmas tree... in a snowstorm.  I kept hearing Beverly Dangelo's voice in my head from the movie Christmas Vacation saying..."Claaark?!" I begged for Christmas music to be played but given there are a few Grinches in the family, it was just a whole lotta hoopla going on.   We chose the "Prancer" route this year.  The National Parks have a few places to cut so we headed to the one in Fraser, Colorado. Open for Business: The Milkbarn Kitchen

Our Milkbarn kitchen is complete! Well, almost... Because nothing is truly done when you build or remodel your own home with your own hands.  Our hands are getting pretty tired (: and we just want to take a break!  We went for GE slate appliances. I've had enough of stainless.  Four kids means like 57 fingerprints on it daily. I can't go there. So the slate is my first choice, plus I believe in magnets. Magnets are a must.  Every kid needs to see you like their artwork or quiz or paper or tiny notes saying, "dear Mom". This is a Delta fixture I purchased online. We went with a giant stainless steel under-mount single basin sink. I LOVE it.  It hides dirty dishes really, really well. I fell for this tile we used for our back splash.  We purchased it from Daltile. I mean, I could not live without it.
