Halloween 2.0.1.5.

Halloween.
My favorite holiday.
This year life was so hectic with stuff,
our group costume didn't work out.
Oh, but just you wait for next year....

but here is what we came up this time around!

Lucy as Bat Girl
Did you know the original and comic book Bat Girl had red hair?
Perfect.

Audrey really really REALLY wanted to be the Mad Hatter.
So I went to town and made her a crazy coat and bow tie and she picked out a tiny top hat.

The pensive side of Wolverine

I don't know if Chester will be anything BUT a super hero for Halloween. I found this at Goodwill for 99 cents after he told me he wanted to be Wolverine! The moment I saw it on the rack I kept shaking my head in disbelief....is that what I think it is? it's gold and blue...is it? IS IT?
YES!!!
I did it, I am the best Mom ever!
It's a rare feeling nowadays.

Henry is always a little nervous to dress up.
So, here he is as Dr. Pepper.
I made the doctor smock with a clear plastic pocket to
hold the pepper in.

Getting ready for surgery.

The kids went separately with friends this year, we were all just blocks apart though. We stuck with Chester and his friend William.
The street down from Mesa Elementary was like a party, it was great!

The house where you can choose your full sized bar or bag.
Hit of the year!( well, every year really)

We got everyone home by 9 pm, ate tons of candy and watched
Hotel Transylvania.

These were some of the bar graphs the kids made with their candy Sunday morning. Along with hourly counts.
Henry won this year with 134 pieces of candy.
I helped take down the Reese's total.

From left to right jack o' lanterns:
Lucy, Henry, Audrey, and Chester.
Happy Halloween!

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! 💗Ready to go💗 Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried upon her arrival💗 Cougar for life! It

London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoon  i

We Are Officially Building That House!

And....we're off! First concrete pour was a success Along with a crew involving other people outside  of our humble brigade! This is the garage floor which really should be called  Clay's shop floor haha let's be honest here :) the mastermind at hand :) ten years ago we took this photo upon our move into the Milkbarn, the home that changed me, changed all of us really. What an era that was for us! I mentioned to Clay as we build our home here on the coast,  my heart will finally mend from leaving Boulder. We are much older(sigh),  much wiser(that's good!),  and even more patient(almost killed us and we wanted to quit too many times to count). But here we are.  The immense joy we get when we work together creatively is really something else. It's taken us forever. The pieces are fitting together. God definitely took his time with us. And now...we're back :) (p.s. most of what we'll do will be in my stories section on my instagram @jenniferjoycolli
