Special Days and Temple Blessings

It was a clear and spotless morning as we headed to the Oakland Temple with Lucy. In preparation for her mission, each sister and elder must enter the temple to make and keep covenants to be better prepared to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This day is made in preparation and has been worked towards over a lifetime💕

She was a bit nervous but in her face I saw more of her quiet confidence and  ability to comprehend the significance of this step in her life.
She was ready :)
Post temple :  joy for Lucy Jane!
my adorable lookalikes
I just know how much they love each other...
How much they understand each other and their patience for each other.
I think she chose to be with Clay in this life and trusted that whoever he married she would love  and trust as well :)
While in the temple we talked and I told her how she had been there before, just inside of me :)
I told her about the time I went to the temple and came out with what I would name her and how it felt like she had named herself.
How I felt like she knew us already and couldn't wait to come to us here on earth :)
To say it was a full circle moment is an understatement.
I felt humbled by the peace and strength received.
I couldn't believe we were already there...
how had we passed through 19 years to this day?
But such is life, it moves within the laws of the universe.
Days and nights melding into months and years, creating life and creating my own family life here on earth.
I am grateful for the temple. To be worthy but in all actuality, so imperfect to enter.
For continued revelation that changes and improves as life moves on.
My heart yearns for more 💗

Other thoughts are deeper in my heart.
I'll hold them there and keep them.
But, this was a special day...one of which I hope to experience again.
P.S.
We visited the grounds last week in preparation for this day :)

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! 💗Ready to go💗 Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried upon her arrival💗 Cougar for life! It

London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoon  i

We Are Officially Building That House!

And....we're off! First concrete pour was a success Along with a crew involving other people outside  of our humble brigade! This is the garage floor which really should be called  Clay's shop floor haha let's be honest here :) the mastermind at hand :) ten years ago we took this photo upon our move into the Milkbarn, the home that changed me, changed all of us really. What an era that was for us! I mentioned to Clay as we build our home here on the coast,  my heart will finally mend from leaving Boulder. We are much older(sigh),  much wiser(that's good!),  and even more patient(almost killed us and we wanted to quit too many times to count). But here we are.  The immense joy we get when we work together creatively is really something else. It's taken us forever. The pieces are fitting together. God definitely took his time with us. And now...we're back :) (p.s. most of what we'll do will be in my stories section on my instagram @jenniferjoycolli
