Our 20th Anniversary!

Our 20th wedding anniversary!
We picked out these roses together for the house to commemorate our milestone:)
May 26, 2021
We took a drive down to Pescadero and had a delicious lunch at Duartes Tavern.
(after 20 years...this is the 1st time I put on one of his "Alaska Grown" sweatshirts, haha... I forgot my jacket)

After lunch, we took a stroll :)
and shared memories from the past and feelings about our future :)
Harbor seals checking in on us every 2 minutes while we held each other tight :)
We spent a weekend together a month prior to be ALONE (after an entire year of being on top of each other, haha) and decided we would make it our 20th getaway.
We both had wished to have gone away for a longer time but with Clay's schedule  we decided this was going to be it.
It was wonderful!
Pismo Beach
Avila Beach
He still wears a lot of safety orange :) a hallmark of his I've grown to love
The Inn at Avila Beach is in a little valley and had bikes to take for the day...so we rode down and felt like kids, haha.
Clay looks big on these smallish bikes!

Twenty years in and smiling bigger than ever.
*with a little more gray hair now :)
But a lot more patience, wisdom, and trust.
I knew I loved him more 10 years in but now....NOW...I love him so immensely that all I feel is complete gratitude for our life together.
I asked Clay to share his thoughts but he reminded me that he doesn't like to share his private thoughts publicly :)
I will attest, his love reaches beyond what I thought was possible for myself right when I need it.

Heavenly Father gave us our most cherished gift when we met.
He brought our hearts together and in many ways, continues to help us stay together through covenants, trials, and joy through our journey!

And for that 25th?
A spectacular 10 day vacation somewhere on the edge of the world :)

little known fact: before marriage we never discussed children, futures, work...,all we knew was that we wanted to be together.
Maybe that was naive. Maybe that could have helped in some way. But it was the one time I can remember just being in the moment, day to day.
Happy 20th to us❤

Audrey Graduates!

And just like that, she is done with high school! A couple of days before, I had her try on all the cords she received. We have lovingly teased her about being a boss lady for quite sometime, but it is a legitimate moniker! I think she was pleased to have more cords than her older siblings too:) Cords and what they represent: white-Seminary graduate red- Red Cross club rainbow- art for 2+ years with an A purple-maintaining a 4.0 GPA for 7+ semesters blue & green- completing 200+ service hours blue & gold- National Honor Society club She decorated her cap as a future cougar:) Still planning her outfits out since kindergarten and I love it. Picking up the older kids the day of her graduation...haha Our go-to Hawaiian plate lunch meal for graduation! 💗Ready to go💗 Aunt Marcie flew in for the best surprise visit!  She made it memorable for everyone.  And served as our graduation photographer. If I hadn't been so busy, I would have cried upon her arrival💗 Cougar for life! It

London Layovers

This post is going backwards because this is one of the last photos I took in London before we went home.  I was also feeling very sick but adrenaline kicked in....because hello, it's LONDON ! I completely loved London.  I wasn't expecting that at all.  I thought I'd like it but I LOVED it.   I'm already calculating when I can go back with the girls:) Our charter bus from the cruise dropped us at Heathrow 7 hours early and the airline attendant when checking our bags noted that we  "were quite early" :) So we hopped on the Elizabeth Line and walked over to Hyde Park. It was full of friends, and dogs off leash with their owners, families...just everything. It just felt perfect. Like, was this real? Am I in a movie? Are these accents real? Oh wait...I'm the one with the accent:)  ( Remember, I have never really traveled outside of the the country and now the pandoras box of traveling is officially open...okay,  I digress...) Anyway, back to our afternoon  i

We Are Officially Building That House!

And....we're off! First concrete pour was a success Along with a crew involving other people outside  of our humble brigade! This is the garage floor which really should be called  Clay's shop floor haha let's be honest here :) the mastermind at hand :) ten years ago we took this photo upon our move into the Milkbarn, the home that changed me, changed all of us really. What an era that was for us! I mentioned to Clay as we build our home here on the coast,  my heart will finally mend from leaving Boulder. We are much older(sigh),  much wiser(that's good!),  and even more patient(almost killed us and we wanted to quit too many times to count). But here we are.  The immense joy we get when we work together creatively is really something else. It's taken us forever. The pieces are fitting together. God definitely took his time with us. And now...we're back :) (p.s. most of what we'll do will be in my stories section on my instagram @jenniferjoycolli
