Viva la 50!

Well, I turned the BIG 5-0 We walked over to the Miramar Beach Restaurant for dinner and family time. Meanwhile...I had 2 whole cakes waiting for me ate home courtesy of Clay.  I think that is the last time he does a cake buffet:) It was a lot of cake but it was definitely delicious and definitely eaten! Thank you my love Lucy was home for spring break, so everyone together:) we got a nice little private room at the restaurant voila! no masks! I'm not quite sure why I was so anxious about turning 50.  But I spent the day reflecting on these past decades of mine.  I felt proud of the progress I have made over the years.  Which, was a blessing since most of the time I wonder what I am even doing with my life :) With Lucy at the helm, the kids made a trip to Burlingame Avenue for presents:) Chester picked out this bouquet from a florist :) Just 4 candles and not 50 :) I found some pictures and put them together with music.  I liked how each decade had a theme in my adult life.  How ap

Spring Break 2021: Part One

Spring Break part one!  At home, across the street on Surfer's Beach :) Chester has a borrowed short board from our friend Tim  and just keeps going for it.  Audrey loves paddling out, she likes to long board and Henry has a new body board and wet suit...so everyone is finally out together!  I always day dreamed about watching my kids out in the water and I actually can't believe it is happening :) She braids her hair back for surfing. Too cute. Lucy came home for a long weekend 💙 We brought the kids out to Bean Hollow State Beach, where Clay proposed to me over 20 years ago! I remember him walking me out on the sand, with a bunch of calla lilies in hand, dropping to his knees and asking me to marry him.  I dropped to my knees and told him I would take care of his heart and buy 2% milk instead of my usual 1% haha He brought us around to a more private cove to where he brought me that day... which I didn't remember him doing! Love can be a blur :) it was sweet to share our
