Summer endings

Labor day weekend fun. What child doesn't like to swing? This Doe and baby, which we aptly named Peggy and Plum, come into our yard almost daily. We are at the point where she looks at me like...oh, it's you. A buck has been with them too.  He stared me down through the kitchen window.  We discovered the Milkbarn produces grapes and wild sweet plums. Plum likes to eat the plums.  They bed down about every other day here.  Honestly, I love having them around. There is something wonderful about sitting with the kids and just watching them hang out.  Making a salad from our neighbors salad garden. Chester turned 5!   He requested a date with me at Wendy's after school.  At least he orders his cheeseburgers with extra lettuce and tomato! He told me on our date how he did NOT get in trouble at school. And reported to me all the rule breakers. Thanks Lieutenant Collins. He is a pro as the tomato basil salad helper. Paw

This is when I wish we were wearing more muted fall colors or just anything to accent the beauty around us.  Always designing in my head. It's a problem sometimes. Sometimes I imagine I was on a sub committee for designing the earth for Heavenly Father.  I'm pretty sure I was on the color and proportion team. Chester kept shouting for joy,  " It's aspen mania!! I want
