The June Report: Insulation, Studs and Gratitude

                        Again, a jumbled kind of post but that's just life                                 right now.... Ocean clouds over the Milkbarn Boogie boarding in thunderstorms.  He headed out once he saw the above storm come in. The almost, not quite done master suite above.   So,I said we would have the mas ter suite done by June 1st. Hilarious. We have now started work on the girls room while they are away with Grandma and Grandpa in Alaska. Never mind master bedroom. We didn't need to catch up on 9 months of sleep. We prefer aging rapidly.  We ripped off more siding on the house around the girls room. We need to remove siding as we put in our new windows.  We're going for a  calico effect here.  I didn't know it was possible to make this house look any any worse .   And then we pulled up carpet in the girls room and surprise!! I'm pretty sure this might not mean lighting in my master bedroom I have to really believe this right now. I'm not joking when I say, God helps me each day not to go insane living in a Milkbarn mess. Although we chose to do this, the effect of challenge can make you grow in character or the alternative, turn your heart cold. It has been hard this last week. So, I decided to just write a random post about life here. And soften my construction heart up. Alaskan siding We have got the master suite wrapped in Tyvek, also known as Alaskan siding. If you ever get a chance to visit beautiful Alaska you might notice an above average appearance of Tyvek. Clay says, once an Alaskan gets the house enclosed...that's good enough. We are painting the siding now. We will be doing a board and batten. We've painted 10% of the boards.
